How Trade-In works

Send us the details

Fill in a short form with basic information about your PC:

  • main components (CPU, GPU, RAM, storage)
  • condition (working / minor issues / needs repair)
  • how long you’ve been using it

You can also attach photos or a short video – this helps us estimate the value more accurately.

Get a preliminary estimate

Based on the information you provide, we give you an initial Trade-In value range.
This is not yet the final offer, but it helps you understand what discount you can roughly expect on a new build.

Ship or bring in your PC

If you’re happy with the estimate, you send us your PC (or bring it in, if that’s an option for you).
We recommend:

  • carefully packing the PC or laptop
  • wiping personal data if possible (or we can do it for you)

Technical inspection & final offer

Our technicians run diagnostics:

  • check all key components
  • test stability and temperatures
  • assess cosmetic condition

Once the inspection is complete, we confirm the final Trade-In value.

If something differs from the initial description, we explain why and how it affects the price.

You can now use your Trade-In value as a discount on any new or refurbished Hrafninn build.

If you need help choosing, we’ll suggest a few options that fit your budget and typical use (games, work, mixed).

Finish the order and get your new setup

We subtract the Trade-In value from the price of your new PC.
You pay the difference, and we prepare and ship your new system.

Your old PC either gets a second life after refurbishment or is used for parts where it makes sense.

We currently accept:

  • Desktop PCs (gaming or office)
  • Laptops (in working or near-working condition)
  • In some cases – partially working systems (we’ll confirm after you send the form)

If you’re unsure whether your device is suitable, just describe it briefly in the form – we’ll let you know.

We look at:

  • age of the components
  • overall performance and market value
  • technical condition and stability
  • cosmetic condition (case, screen, keyboard, etc.)

Our goal is not to push the price down, but to offer a fair number based on real hardware, not promises.

Before sending your PC, you can back up and wipe your data.
 If that’s not possible, we can securely reset drives during the Trade-In process.
 Personal data is never used for anything beyond preparing the machine for its next owner or for recycling.

  • compare Trade-In vs. keeping or upgrading your current PC
  • recommend what makes the most sense for you

Sometimes the best choice is a small upgrade, sometimes it’s a full switch – we’ll be honest about that.
